Mountaineering
Mt. Whitney and the Sierra Nevada
Mt. Whitney, at 14,505’, is the highest peak in the continental USA. As one can imagine, this peak can become incredibly busy in peak climbing season - summer. However, the late winter and spring months can be far less crowded, even offering a summit to yourselves. Done Whitney, or looking for a more remote challenge? The Sierra Nevada is one the most beautiful and diverse ranges in the world, with thirteen 14,000’ peaks, and more than enough mountains for one lifetime of climbing. Let’s explore the Range of Light.
The High Cascades
The volcanoes of this range tower over their surrounding landscapes from Northern California into British Columbia. Trailheads can be at the base of the mountain where climbing starts relatively soon, or they can be deep in rainforests, 10+ miles from any snow and ice! The Cascades have incredibly beautiful peaks with diverse ranges of challenge. Let’s find the right peak for you and get up there!
Central and South America
The Latin American countries of our hemisphere are incredibly special places. The high altitude volcanoes of these places might be what we travel for, but the vibrant cultures with their ancient roots are tremendous highlights within themselves. Delicious food, kind people, and beautiful glaciated peaks, what else does a mountaineer need? Contact me about your international climbing dreams.
